Science Mad Libs Worksheets

Mad Libs are a great way to review grammar and the parts of speech. Students love these fun and engaging activities. Students cannot wait to read this aloud to find a silly saying that was cleverer than their friend’s thoughts. Mad libs are language games where the student is asked to complete blank portions of sentences. In most cases a part of speech is indicated for each blank portion. This ensures that the sentence that is created, as a result, will flow and almost make sense. All the worksheets on this page are themed with a particular discipline of science. These worksheets can be printed and just pop your parts of speech in place for a super fun class activity.

Earth Science Mad Libs

What Are Mad Libs


Mad Libs is a game that is perfect for any age and any occasion. It is a fun activity that is based on word replacement. This game was created in the early 1950s. Ever since its creation, the game has witnessed huge commercial success. The creators of the mad libs, Leonard Stern and Roger Price, have enjoyed the great success that the game earned. This term Mad Libs is a trademark but it has still found its way to the common and everyday use. Mad Libs are considered as the funny fill-in story that everybody can enjoy at any time.


You can play this game by writing out a 100 to 200 words paragraph and then split it. You can then play it in rounds. Each person has to add crazy words to the existing sentences. In the end, you get a funny story.
