Writing Informative/Explanatory Form Worksheets

Informative writing pieces convey one-way information to readers. The goal is, as the name implies, to impart knowledge to the reader. Explanatory pieces fall under the same general topic, but these are usually drawn out into step by step process. An informative piece would tell you the ingredients and what tools you need for a cake recipe, but an explanatory piece would focus on the steps you take to complete the process. These worksheets will help students learn to write in this general format.
