Using Correct Capitalization Worksheets

Using capital letters correctly is a skill that many teachers will brush over and expect students to master by the end of this grade level. There are some basic guidelines for capitalization that you should square off. The first letter of every sentence and the first word of quotations are a must for capital letters. Titles of people, movies, and people should always have those big letters too. The pronoun I is always a capital too. These worksheets will help students begin to master this skill for good. It’s kind of like riding bike, once you get it, you got it for good!
Correct Capitalization Worksheets To Print:
Wrestling with Capitalization – Wrestle an alligator or rewrite the sentences, your choice!
Carrying It Up To CAPS – It's all about bags, backpacks, and purses.
Sailing – Just simply drift through these for your day.
Ferris Wheels – Find the letters that are letting you down!
Singing – Have you ever circled a musical note? Now you will!
Monkeying Around with Capitalization – Underline the words that should be capitalized and circle any words that are capitalized and should not be capitalized.
Football –Underline the words in the sentence that need to be capitalized, then write the words in the correct box under the title that states why you capitalized the word.
Camping – Color the marshmallow that contains all the words that need to be capitalized in each sentence.
Patty Panda – Underline the words that have a lowercase letter that needs to be capitalized. Put a slash (/) through words that have an uppercase letter that does not need to be capitalized.
Downhill Ride – Read each sentence and rewrite the sentence with the correct capitalization.
World of Gymnastics – Cut and paste a gold medal if the sentence is correctly capitalized.
Queen of Capitalization – Write the words that need to capitalized in the correct box under the title that gives the reason for that word needing to be capitalized.
Fishing for CAPS – Color the worm blue if the word needs to be capitalized. Color the worm red if the word is capitalized and it does not need to be.
Dunking It – Circle the words that need to be capitalized in each sentence. Place the letter of the rule you followed to determine if the word needed to be capitalized.
The CAPS Dance – Cut and paste the ballet slippers that contains the numbers of the rules of capitalization used to correct the sentence.
