Using Precise Language Worksheets

Core Standard

A series of worksheets that shows students the differences between general and precise words. The goal of an author is to get their message across to their readers and force an emotional reaction from them. In order to do this writers must focus on remaining clear and precise with the language and constructs that they use to help reader feel the ride that they are taking them on. Concise language gets it done in the real world. When you go on a job interview, the employer will try to remove as much verbiage as you throw at them, being clear and concise will get you a leg up.
