End Punctuation of Sentences Worksheets

When we write a sentence it is difficult to provide the reader with a sense of how the words are to be delivered. This is where end punctuation comes in. First, it signifies that a complete thought has been composed. A plain old period tells us that a declarative sentence has been delivered. An exclamation mark tells us that the sentence dealt with some level of emotions. Question marks tell us that someone is looking for answers. These worksheets provide students with a base frame of work to help students understand how to apply end of sentence punctuation.
End Punctuation Worksheets To Print:
Bike Riding – You will need some glue or tape for this activity.
Beach Time – Add the missing symbols and describe the sentence in the process.
Buggy – We use symbols for the symbols. You will see what I mean.
Lassoing – Wrangle yourself an correctly punctuated sentence.
Racing – You will need a red, blue, and green crayon for this.
Having Fun with Farm Animals – Add the correct punctuation to the following sentences.
Super Capitalization Punctuation Man – Underline the words that need to be capitalized and add the correct punctuation to the end of the sentences.
Teddy Bear Punctuation – Color the teddy bear blue if the sentence should end in a period. Color the teddy bear red if the sentence should end in an exclamation point. Color the teddy yellow if the sentence should end in a question mark.
Policing Punctuation – : Write a "T' in the stop sign if the sentence is a "telling sentence". Write a "A" in the stop sign if the sentence is an "asking sentence".
Field Trip Letter – Read the following letter that Marvin has written to Ms. Sparks. Help him with his letter by adding all the punctuation that is missing, including commas (,).
Helping Freddie Fireman Put Out Fires – Help Freddie Fireman by reading the sentence and coloring the correct fire.
Rainy Day – Read the sentences and add the missing punctuation.
Monkeying Around – Cut and paste the sentence in the correct column.
Patriotic Ends – Underline the words that need to be capitalized and color the star that contains the correct punctuation mark.
