Core Standard

Pronouns are words that replace nouns to give more life to a larger statement. They really help authors avoid being overly repetitive. They are, for the most part, short words that let us extend our writing and are also less cumbersome that basic nouns. Personal pronouns replace nouns that represent people or the words that they speak. Possessive pronouns signify a sense of ownership. You also have indefinite pronouns that do not refer to particular anything such as an person o thing.
