Creating Inferences From What We Read Worksheets

Related ELA Standard: RL.3.1

Core Standard

Forming inferences are truly difficult for most students. We are asked to read between the lines and look deep into the work we are analyzing. To a great degree, inferences are guesses based on clues in a body of work we are breaking down. Making an inference requires trust. We find clues in a passage and do our best to make sense of those clues. Mastering this skill takes a great deal of repetition and practice. We will provide a great deal of practice for students with the set of worksheets that can be found in this section of our website.
