There are number of different word forms set that set in the future tense. The primary purpose of future word forms fit into four basic categories. They can often be predictions of facts that can be expected to occur later. These statements often use the word "will" to indicate that it is a mere fact that something is emanate. You can also state your ensuing intention with the phrase "going to". We would use this phrase, if we are not certain that an event will occur. You can also use this tense to indicate an agreed arrangement was made. Arrangements are not facts, but just an agreed intention. You can also use future forms to discuss a scheduled event, such as the departure time of a cruise or airplane. These worksheets will walk students through the proper usage of future forms in sentences and paragraphs.
Future Forms Worksheets:
Will I Be Going To - There are two ways to express that you are talking about something that is going to happen at a later time.
My Talks - Study the guidelines for using will and going to. Then correct each sentence by rewriting it in the future tense.
Writing about Later - Answer each question in a complete sentence, using the correct future form.
Will or Going To? - Underline the proper term that would help make the language flow best.
Simple Future Form - The simple future tense expresses an action that has not yet happened.
Turn The Corner - Turn each phrase into a sentence using a simple change. You will the complete each of the statements by using the terms (will or going to).
My Unfolding - What will your life be like when you grow up? Write 5 original sentences about something that is approaching, using the future form.
Around the Corner - Fill in the blank in each sentence with the best term that is found within the parentheses.
What Will It Be? - We provide you with a term in the present form and then we ask you to transform that word to a different tense.
Will/Going to - Fill in the blanks with the correct word use. On the line to the left, write the reason for your choice.
Second Sentences - Write the second sentence using the correct form that is indicate. We start you off in the right frame of mind.
Very Tensy- Rewrite each of the given sentences by switching up the tense of the verb. For extra credit, you can write the past form too.
What Are Future Forms in Sentences?
The main structure of a sentence in the English language is based on three types of verbs. The structure of the sentence depends on which time period is the context related to. According to time, a sentence can be made using three types of verb tenses. One is the past tense, second is the present tense, and the third is the future tense. In the past tense, the context of the sentence is set in the past. We use the past form of the verb to indicate that. Whereas, in the present tense, the context of the sentence is set in the present. This is why we use to present and original form of the verb for it. The past tense is the future tense. It is used when you have to indicate something that will happen down the line.
The Simple Future Tense
This is used in sentences that describe an action that will happen at a later time. It is used to describe the happening that will be done later after being said by a speaker. The future tense is used in speech and text all the time. It is an important concept that everyone should learn how to use. The structure of a sentence with future tense is not that difficult. Here are some ways you can structure different sentences with future tense.
Positive Sentences
In order to make positive sentences with the future tense, follow this formula:
Subject + auxiliary + main verb + Object
For example,
She will come to my house tomorrow.
I will buy him a gift next month.
Negative Sentences
In order to make negative sentences with the future tense, follow this formula
Subject + auxiliary + not + main verb + object
She will not come to the party.
He will not buy a house.
Interrogatives
Auxiliary + subject + main verb + object
Will they come to my house in the morning?
Will he help his friend?
