Summer Olympics Worksheets

Every four years the best athletes from over 200 of the countries come together to compete against one another in their chosen sport. These games bring together the Earth to celebrate the efforts of humankind. Each athlete individually or as a team competes to place in top three places. The top three places receive medals to commemorate their efforts and achievements. First place receives the gold medal followed by the silver and the bronze. There are just over 30 sports that athletes compete in the summer games. This tradition has been taking place for nearly 3,000 years since it first took place in Greece.
