We always begin teaching handwriting and penmanship with teaching basic print letter forms. As with any process, we often seek to make it more efficient and quicker. Cursive handwriting using a flowing style of writing that does not require you to pick the pen or pencil up from the paper. When cursive letters are used to form a word, the letters are connected and often looped. There has been little data to support whether print or cursive is a more effective form of written language. In the modern world it seems that cursive letters are being used much less do to style choices and advances in technology. The most common use of cursive is to write a signer's name in the form of a signature. This series of worksheets will help students learn to write the letters of the alphabet in cursive form.
